Polyferric sulfate (PFS) is a new type of high efficient inorganic polymer flocculant. The solid is light yellow amorphous powder. Solid products have strong hygroscopicity. This product has good cohesiveness, stable chemical properties and fast settling speed. It is suitable for a wide range of pH values and can be widely used in the purification of drinking water, various industrial water, industrial wastewater and urban sewage.

Application of polyferric sulfate

1. Before use, put the product into the alum dissolving tank according to a certain concentration (10-30%), inject tap water, stir it to make it hydrolyze fully, leave it to a reddish brown liquid, dilute it with water to the required concentration, and then add coagulation. The water plant can also be directly added with 2-5% liquid polyferric sulfate, and the industrial wastewater treatment can be directly added with 5-10%.

2. According to the nature of raw water, the dosage of the product can be determined by production debugging or burning out test, depending on the amount of alum formed. The dosage of other chemicals used in the water treatment plant can be used as a reference. Under the same conditions, the dosage of the product is slightly lower than that of solid polyaluminum sulfate, which is 1 / 3-1 / 4 of that of solid aluminum sulfate. If the original product is liquid, it can be calculated according to the concentration of the corresponding reagent.

3. When in use, the prepared medicine liquid is pumped into the metering tank, and the medicine liquid is added through metering to coagulate with raw water.

4. Under normal circumstances, it is prepared and used on the same day. Tap water is needed for dispensing, and a little sediment is normal.

5. Pay attention to the hydraulic conditions and alum formation in the three stages of coagulation process.


(1) The coagulation stage is a process in which fine alum is formed in a very short time by the injection of coagulant and the rapid coagulation of raw water. At this time, the water becomes more turbid, which requires the flow to produce intense turbulence. In the beaker experiment, it is better to stir rapidly (250-300 RPM) for 10-30s, generally not more than 2min.

(2) The first stage of flocculation is the process of alum growing and coarsening, which requires appropriate turbulence degree and sufficient residence time (10-15min). In the later stage, a large amount of alum can be observed to gather and sink slowly, forming a clear surface layer. In the beaker experiment, stirring at 150 rpm for about 6 minutes, then stirring at 60 rpm for about 4 minutes to the suspended state.

(3) Sedimentation stage: it is the flocculation sedimentation process in the sedimentation tank, which requires slow water flow. In order to improve the efficiency, inclined tube (plate) sedimentation tank (air flotation method is used to separate the flocculation) is generally used. A large number of coarse alum is added to the inclined tube (plate) wall and deposited at the bottom of the tank. The upper water is clear water, and the remaining alum with small particle size and small density slowly drops while continuing to collide with each other In the later stage, the turbidity remained unchanged. In the beaker experiment, 20-30 RPM should be used for 5 minutes, then 10 minutes

6. Enhanced filtration is an important measure to improve water quality, which is mainly to reasonably select filter layer structure and filter aid to improve the removal rate of high filter.

7. This product is used in the treatment of environmental protection and industrial wastewater. The use method is similar to that of water treatment plant. It has a good effect on the treatment of raw water with high chroma, high COD, BOD, and auxiliary effect.

8. In factories and mines adopting chemical coagulation method, the original equipment does not need to be greatly improved, and the product can be used only by adding alum dissolving tank.

9. The product should be kept in dry, moisture-proof and heat proof (< 80 ℃), and the package should not be damaged. The product can be stored for a long time.

10. This product must be dissolved into liquid polyferric sulfate before use. Corrosion resistant materials shall be used for dissolving equipment and dosing equipment.
