When the temperature is 20 ℃, the density is 1.45g/cm3 and the basicity is 8% ~ 16%. PH value (1% aqueous solution) = 2-3. For example, the total iron content of Qingyuan brand solid PFS is more than 20%, while that of liquid enhanced PFS is more than 11%. The solid water insoluble matter is less than 0.5%, and the liquid water insoluble matter is less than 0.3. It is corrosive and irritant.

The chemical formula is: [Fe2 (OH) n (SO4) 3-0.5n] m. It is dissolved in acid to form ferric hydroxide colloid and hydrolyzed to form polyvalent and polynuclear complex ions.


Its function in wastewater treatment is the result of the combination of its physical and chemical properties. Based on the chemical properties of its reaction with water, the colloidal substance generated by it is used to produce electric neutralization reaction in water, which reduces the potential, makes colloidal particles agglomerate with each other, and produces adsorption, bridging and cross-linking. Under the action of physical gravity sedimentation, the dense solid sludge is formed.


In wastewater treatment, polymeric ferric sulfate, as a chemical agent, plays a chemical role and carries out wastewater purification along with physical effect.

This kind of polymer dissolved in water will set up a bridge between colloidal particles to form a net, and in the process of its own sedimentation, it will have the effect of coiling and netting the colloidal particles in water to make them bond into clusters, which is what we call alum. In addition, it can also reduce or eliminate the ∫ potential of colloidal particles by releasing a large number of metal iron cations in the dissolution process, so that the particles collide and coalesce, so as to achieve the effect of removing suspended particles in water.
